Incentive & Recognition Program
To encourage employees in their quest for excellence, GMSI has three major incentive/recognition programs: Bonus Compensation Plan, Top Gun Award, and Employee Referral Bonus. These are designed to reward achievement, inspire greater efforts on behalf of our customers, and reward employees for helping us recruit additional excellent people to GMSI.
GMSI Bonus Compensation Plan
The GMSI Bonus Compensation Plan compensates employees fairly and competitively based on performance results. It is designed to encourage entrepreneurial behavior, creativity, and superior performance. The plan encourages employee involvement toward meeting corporate objectives and achieving career goals. All full-time GMSI employees are eligible and are awarded via a manager nomination, company-wide managerial review committee, and executive team approval process.
Top Gun Award
GMSI has established an elite semi-annual award for the top one percent of its employees. Its purpose was to recognize the seemingly lost art of Superior Customer Service and to ensure that the handful of GMSI employees who receive this honor were the best of the best. Today, many may call it TQM, BPR, or CIM. We call it TOP GUN. The award includes a $500 cash award, commemorative leather flight jacket, and induction into the Top Gun recipient fraternity. The Top Gun award process begins with a call for nominations. Any employee may nominate any other employee for superior customer service efforts regardless of whether the customer is external or internal. Customer service is defined as any activity that promotes positive growth between GMSI and its customers. This customer service activity should be clearly over and above normal expectations of job performance. Nominees are reviewed by a Rewards and Recognition Panel and approved by a full Review Committee. The semi-annual award ceremony features the Top Gun movie, theme music, and award by the GMSI CEO plus a receiving line of Top Gun alumni.
Employee Bonus Referral Program
To ensure that GMSI continues to recruit the best and brightest and recognizing that top talent usually associates with other top talent, we encourage and reward employee referrals. The bonus is paid in amounts up to $3,500.
