FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Media Contact: GMSI to Resell EMC Storage Bethesda, MD – June 27, 2001 – GMSI today announced it will offer EMC Corporation's leading information storage systems, software and services as part of its overall strategy of expanding its line of IT integration products in critical market sectors. Under the terms of the agreement, GMSI will resell all of EMC's products, including its family of Symmetrix® and CLARiiON® networked storage systems. EMC's offering connects business data assets regardless of application origin, operating system, platform, or server ? eliminating barriers to an enterprise's use of information. This agreement adds network attached storage (NAS) and storage area network (SAN) capability to GMSI's network and management-centric environment. Together, GMSI and EMC can design, build, and manage a business-enhancing network storage infrastructure without having to divert in-house IT staff from core business activities. Howard Myers, GMSI Senior Vice President, projected, "The rapid expansion of information storage and retrieval needs within our client's domain provided the vision to address the storage market. Knowledge based networks are the future growth engines in IT service. We are an important part of the trend." "The Federal market, in particular, is seeing an explosion of digital information that must be accessible to a wide range of platforms," said Bill Taylor, EMC's Director of Global Channels. "GMSI is now able to offer leading networked solutions to help organizations better manage, share and protect their critical information." GMSI, based in Bethesda, MD, maintains fast-track revenue growth, with over 12 years experience in the Federal marketplace. Howard Myers noted, "We have already identified our experts and begun the training and certification processes in EMC's Proven Professional Certification Program. Our Program Management staff will also have intimate knowledge of the EMC solution and application models. Storage and retrieval systems require significant management to be truly effective and we are best at managing optimum performance specifications and network service levels."
